Our Commitment
to Forest Conservation
At Steuerberaterin Renate Schnürch, sustainability is more than a principle – it is a responsibility. Our commitment to protecting natural environments is rooted both in personal experience and in a broader awareness of the global importance of intact forests.
Protecting
the Bavarian Forest
Our Founder, Renate Schnürch, grew up with a deep connection to the Bavarian Forest, a landscape that has shaped her values and longstanding dedication to environmental preservation.
For many years, she has been actively involved in local conservation efforts and has worked with photographer Ingolf Hatz on a project celebrating the forest’s natural beauty.
These photographs, featured throughout this page, reflect the richness of the region and our ongoing appreciation for its unique ecosystem.
Partnering
with Treesistance
Our CSR commitment extends beyond Germany. We are proud to support Treesistance, a movement that combines Indigenous knowledge with scientific expertise to protect the Amazon’s primary rainforest.
Through its Indigenous-led Forest Guardian Programme, Treesistance safeguards millions of hectares of rainforest, strengthens biodiversity, promotes climate resilience, and protects the rights and livelihoods of Indigenous communities.
Across three Brazilian states, Forest Guardians stand watch over 13 Indigenous territories, protecting more than one million hectares of rainforest and Cerrado—lands where biodiversity, culture, and ancestral stewardship remain deeply intertwined. In the Lower Tapajós, Water Guardian groups have also taken root in two Indigenous territories, safeguarding 168 kilometres of vulnerable coastline where river, forest, and community meet.
By supporting Treesistance, we stand behind the people who have protected the rainforest for generations and contribute to preserving one of the world’s most vital ecosystems.
“Together with our Indigenous partners, I’d like to express our deepest gratitude to Tax Office Renate Schnürch for their generous support. We admire their care for the natural world close to home, and are deeply moved that this same spirit extends all the way to the Amazon. Their contribution strengthens the hands of Indigenous Forest Guardians - those who devote their lives to protecting a living, breathing ecosystem that ultimately sustains all life on this planet.”
